David Harper – Chairman of the Board

David is a multi-experienced and seasoned Manager, with a flair for business development and organisation improvement, focused and objective, possessing extensive networking resources stretching across the West African sub-region built up over 30 years in a diverse set of industries: Banking & Finance, Project Management, International Trade (Import/Export), Oil & Gas Services (Manpower/Training & Recruitment/Pipeline maintenance/Procurement) and Business Development Consulting.



Pastor Ituah Ighodalo – Vice Chairman of the Board

Ituah Ighodalo is a Pastor, an Accountant, a Thinker, a Social Reformer and a Writer. He obtained a B.Sc. combined honours degree in Economics and Accounting in 1982 from the University of Hull, England, qualified as a Chartered Accountant in July 1986 and attended a Business Management Course at the Harvard Business School, Boston in 2011.

Ituah commenced his professional career in 1982 at Price Waterhouse now Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC) and later founded Ighodalo & Co., a professional public Accounting firm in January 1987. In October 2004, Ighodalo & Co. merged with 3 other firms to form SIAO/RSM Nigeria becoming arguably the 5th largest accounting practice in Nigeria, today.

Ituah is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria; he is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management, a Member of the American Society of Industrial Security and a member of the American Institute of Management. Ituah sits on the board of many publically quoted companies and is the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of the TIMELESS Media Group, Chairman Trinity Media and Films, Celebr8 Music Festival and producer Courage Centre TV series. He has written and published several articles, papers and books.

Albert Namme – Managing Director/CEO

Albert, a man of enduring wit and a sharp mind, has over 30 years’ direct and hands-on experience in Finance & Accounting & General Management, 15 of which are in the international Oil and Gas industry. A 1985 Management Studies graduate with a major in Accounting, and a post-graduate qualification in Project Management & Investment Appraisal obtained from Harvard University, USA; Albert began his working career with the Cameroon Development Corporation (CDC) in 1985, qualifying as an Accountant (ACEA) in 1987.

Albert has had a long and distinguished working career (with many firsts) covering a variety of industry sectors (Agro-Industry, International Aid & Development, International Conservation & Project Management, UK Higher Education, and International Oil & Gas  (Oilfield Services).

The consummate ‘African’ Albert has 21 years of senior Management experience (including P & L and balance sheet responsibility) with a various multinational and international Companies. An alumni of the Harvard’s HIID programme in Investment Appraisal and Project Management; Albert’s direct and hands-on experience in areas such as corporate & project finance, treasury, risk management & internal controls, corporate strategy, cost recovery, restructuring  and turnaround actions and financial management of African country operations for international and multinational Companies will resonate with the most sceptical of investors and are uniquely relevant to eXcelerate Energy’s mission and vision.

Tony Epelle – Finance Director

Tony is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria [ICAN]. An Economist and Certified Management Consultant, Tony is also a Member of The Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria.

With over 30 years post-graduation experience in strategic planning, corporate finance, capacity building and project management in both the private and public sectors, Tony’s work and training has taken him to over 30 countries and almost all the States in Nigeria. He has worked for several organisations such as Arthur Andersen & Co, where he was in the Tax / Enterprise Group; Deloitte Akintola Williams (Chartered Accountants); and Partnership Savings & Loans Limited (previously Intercontinental Savings & Loans Limited), where he was the pioneer Managing Director & CEO.  Tony was also Head of Financial Advisory Services at International Capital Markets Group [ICMG], where he held responsibilities for Corporate Finance, Finance and Accounting.

Tony teaches at Training Centres & Business Schools in Nigeria and abroad and is an accredited Management Trainer of the Centre for Management Development (CMD); an Associate & Accredited Trainer of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD); and was an Accredited Resource Person and Consultant to the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN). He was also the Chairman of the CIBN Syndicate Group on Human Capital Development. Tony has been a regular columnist on ‘Professional Development’ in the much respected Businessday newspaper and a reviewer of the UNESCO World Investment Report on behalf of the United Nations Information Centre.

Victor Hayes – Director, Marketing & Sales

Victor was educated both in the United Kingdom and Nigeria before attending the University of Lagos where he graduated with a B.Sc. in Business Administration. After serving his NYSC year with the United Bank for Africa (UBA), Victor joined Air Liquide Nigeria Plc (part of the French multinational L’Air Liquide Group), where he rose to become the Public Relations Manager, after working in the Accounts, and Banking & Administration Departments. Victor left for the United Kingdom in 1995 after 11 years with Air Liquide, and worked with the Halifax Bank for three years.

In 1998, Victor became a contractor with the Royal Mail in the UK, working on IT projects around the country. He has worked as Project/Programme Management Office Consultant on several IT related Projects for the likes of Centrica (British Gas), BP, Nokia UK, First Group UK, Federal Ministry of Health in Abuja, and several other organizations; overseeing a wide variety of projects. Victor regularly attends IT and Management courses and possesses PRINCE 2 certification in Project Management.

Chike Ogeah – Director, Legal & Corporate Governance

Chike is a 1983 graduate of Psychology and a 1988 graduate of Law, both from the University of Lagos and Barrister at Law in 1990, from the Nigerian Law School.After practicing as a Legal Practitioner for a number of years with Sofunde, Osakwe, Ogundipe & Belgore (Legal Practitioners), he started his own Law Practice, Ogeah & Co.

With a keen interest in Governance and International relations, Chike moved on to work in the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and also worked in the National Planning Commission, in the capacity of Special Assistant to two Chief Economic Advisers to the President. Early career successes in Government were followed with an appointment as the National Coordinator of the successful, States Economic Empowerment Development Strategy (SEEDS). Chike then proceeded to work as a Facilitating Consultant in the Office of the Millennium Development Goals also within the Presidency.

In 2006, Chike was called upon to head the Federal Government of Nigeria –owned, Skypower Aviation Handling Company Limited, (SAHCOL) as the Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer. He held this position for four interesting years and judiciously handled the privatization of SAHCOL in 2010, one of the most successful and transparent processes, in the history of the privatization agenda of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In 2011, he was called upon to serve as the Commissioner for Information for Delta State under the Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, 2011 to 2015 administration. A position he held adeptly and successfully till May 2015. Chike has attended numerous courses and workshops worthy of note, both locally and internationally and brought his expertise to bear, in all corporate and government positions held throughout his career.

Chike is Chairman and Director of several companies and a member of several professional bodies.He is presently the Vice-Chairman of Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL), a post-privatization privately-owned Company.

Olufemi Olutayo – Director, Supply Chain & Logistics

Olufemi is a graduate of Political Science from the University of Ibadan. He registered and set up his company shortly after concluding the NYSC assignment and has operated for over 30 years as a supplier of Aerospace equipment and is a major Aircraft refuelling contractor to the Oil Industry, the Defence Industry and the Presidency. Olufemi is currently the West African Regional Director and Sole Representative for West Africa for the Hydraulic and Fuel Filtration Division of the Parker Hannifin Corporation (a U.S. Multinational Conglomerate).He has been and is also currently on the board of a few other companies in Nigeria, the West African Coast and the United Kingdom.


Olufemi Adeola Feyide – Treasury Director

Olufemi Adeola Feyide is a professional banker with over 20 year’s core banking experience from entry level operations to senior management supervisory functions. He has an outstanding knowledge of banking in all its ramifications – financial operations, corporate, retail as well as commercial banking and is especially adept at Commercial banking/relationship management functions that involve use of robust business advisory skills in facilitating financial solutions for small & medium sized businesses within all industry segments.

With progressive experience as a Public Tax Consultant and specific expertise in Tax Operations, Back Office Administration, Technology Acquisition and Implementation, Consolidation/Integration of Business Processes and the Design/Implementation of Security, Audit and Control procedures to improve transactional efficiency and the flow of money; Olufemi has a proven performance track record and is a strong motivator and team player with effective leadership, communication, decision-making, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Femi holds a  B.A. Economics – Washington State University (1986), attended the Senior Management Programme – Lagos Business School, 2001 and is currently completing the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Nigeria professional qualification.

Rudolf Huber – Director, Commercial & Strategic Planning

In executing his functional role within eXcelerate Energy Resources, Rudolf helps companies and other organizations develop effective gas and LNG strategies and build effective Business Development teams and structures that will be able to work in any circumstances and with any train; toughening client organizations for the challenges of the Natural Gas sector. Rudolf has decades of negotiation experience in sectors as varied as Tourism, IT Services, and Oil & Gas. Being a qualified lawyer by profession helps a lot. Rudolf possesses expertise in a number of inter-related aspects of building and running a gas business/project: definition of strategic goals, legal and commercial structuring and implementation and strong Business development execution, advising businesses about trading and gas procurement/utilization policies, establishment of relevant documentation and establishment and execution of training structures.

Rudolf’s considerable experience advising organizations on gas strategies and projects from first idea to execution, gas trading and logistics, added to his wider expertise, makes him an effective trailblazer for new gas and LNG initiatives. Rudolf is also a renown and sought after professional speaker, educator, and lobbyist on Natural Gas matters. He has represented various organizations in their LNG efforts in meetings with public authorities and decision makers in order to create awareness for the advantages of using LNG as a fuel. Rudolf holds a Master’s degree Master in Commercial and Taxation Law at University Paris XI (France) / Haute Ecole de Commerce and is fluent in 3 languages (English/French & German).


Jochen Kaspar – Technical Director

A Mechanical and Process Engineer by training & a qualified Gas professional, Jochen graduated from the University of Applied Science Cologne and has several decades of relevant experience across 4 continents (Africa, Asia, Europe & the Middle East) as responsible coordinator and interface manager for international EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) projects in the Oil & Gas Industry with a specific focus on storage, liquefaction and transportation of Natural Gas and LNG; as well as storage and logistics for cryogenic gases of the petrochemical industry. A seasoned Manager of teams and personnel, Jochen delivers real-time engineering solutions to both simple and complex Natural Gas projects.


We believe that corporate governance sets the stage for effective and efficient leadership, which is critical to the success of any organisation. The board makes all major leadership decisions for EERL, these include selecting and appointing executives and senior managers, setting the strategic direction for the company, establishing policies, setting the ethical tone for the organisation and monitoring the outcomes. The board also reviews and approves EERL’s strategic planning, financial performance and reporting, organisational structure, risk management and oversees policies, control framework, and compliance. All of the board’s activities are conducted for the express purpose of preserving and enhancing the underlying value of the company.
